Ensemble Stars! Cards mood theme

2026-02-06T00:22:08Z

Posted by: setsuntamew

Sooooooooo, apparently I'm on a kick with mood themes? I swear, I didn't expect to release another so soon, but I finally had the means to accomplish a ~vision~ I had. I thought it'd be cool to make an enstars mood theme styled like the cards, and once I got a hold of transparent card borders, I knew I had to do it. They're a bit bigger than most mood theme images are, but I wanted to retain details and I just think they look neat like this~

It uses all 5 star cards, mostly from !! (though I did pull a few from ! if they fit), and there are at least 2 moods for every character- the 4piece kiddos included :D So if you have a fave, they're in here somewhere~

ALKALOID mood theme

2026-02-03T20:55:43Z

Posted by: setsuntamew

After completing my first ever mood theme last year, I told myself I was never making one again "unless I did it in a manic, hyperfixation-fueled fugue state" because it's soooo many images.

Unrelated, there's an ALKALOID event happening on the JP enstars server, so uh. Yeah. Welcome to mood themes with Killian, I guess~

Icon Progression 2025

2026-01-28T21:59:00Z

Posted by: setsuntamew

I did this last year and swore I'd make icons every month of 2025, but...well, having a 6 month long depressive episode really puts a damper on that. But instead of giving up entirely, I wanna do a progression of what I did make!

I'm currently having an issue with my webhost, so basically everything is down right now D: It should hopefully be resolved sometime today, but I haven't gotten an exact time frame yet.

Sorry for any inconvenience! ;w;

Edit: As of 11:00 EST, the issue has been resolved! Everything should be restored, but if you run into anything that's still missing, please let me know :D

retro_icontest Round 26: All Things Random

2025-05-10T07:57:41Z

Posted by: setsuntamew

This month's challenge at retro_icontest was honestly so much fun; I love random options. A lot of these really made me think and helped get me out of the creative rut I was falling into, so that' nice, too. My list of prompts + ramblings on them can be found under the cut, beneath the full set of icons.

Mostly Ensemble Stars! & Final Fantasy VII; all fandoms and characters can be found in the tags.

I lost track of time this month and completely spaced on when this was due, so this is a much smaller set for my entry for Round 70 at monthlyinspo. Text also isn't my strong point, but I had fun anyway~

Also holy shit there are a lot of tags on this entry. I'll try to post more consistently/in more focused groups I guess? idk I don't usually post this many icons at once in the first place XD

Icon Texture Brushes | Set 3

2025-04-18T16:22:15Z

Posted by: setsuntamew

Yet another brush set from the archives! I apparently made a lot of resources in the early 00s and remember very little of them, so it's been fun to rediscover them :D

[ download ]
If you download these, I would love if you could comment! I'm not gonna track you down for credit, but you can include either setsuntamew or killiansicons in your resources post if you'd like. But tbh, I'd just like to see what you make with them :D

I made this as part of a monthly challenge community and I figured: what's the point of making icons like this if I don't offer them up for others? I've got a couple more from that coming soon, but plz enjoy this one for now :D

As with all my freebies, it's open for unlimited requests 🌸

retro_icontest Round 25: technique20in20 #03

2025-04-13T09:17:56Z

Posted by: setsuntamew

So at first I struggled to come up with what I was gonna make for part of this month's challenge at retro_icontest: remake your style. Cuz I've basically always had the same style, or at least the same attempted style- I was just significantly less good at it when I was starting out. tbh, I thought on it for nearly a month before I realized the answer was staring me in the face the whole time!!!

Sparkle icons, duh! When I wasn't making grunge-y fandom icons, I was pumping out only the sparkliest freebies back in the day :D So, I made some in that style~

Also, it's just all enstars this time, idk what anyone expects from me anymore XD I really do try to make a variety...so at least I made some other characters for once? ;D My "artist's choice" theme was to make all icons from No name yet, featuring Kohaku in the secret color of his outfit.

Sooooooo, I somehow thought I'd have a bit more variety (in fandoms) for this challenge, but enstars wins again XD This is my entry for Round 69 at monthlyinspo, and it definitely pushed me into doing something different! I don't usually do a lot of full body crops, so it was fun to challenge myself~

堕天使たちの晩餐会 - Ha/Lo | Ensemble Stars!! MV - Screencaps

2025-03-14T23:36:57Z

This MV made me insane and I immediately had to screencap the whole thing for icons- so here it is! I might do another pass at it once it actually releases in game + I have all the outfits unlocked, but the small song name in the lower right corner is pretty easy to crop around for most things. Enjoy!

New Layout!!! + other admin stuff

2025-03-13T00:01:25Z

Posted by: setsuntamew

After, um, over 5 years, I have finally made a new layout for this journal!!! It's a somewhat simple one from tessisamess, but I think that'll let the graphics themselves shine through :D

Also it's purple, I love purple~

On top of that, I went through and added character tags to all previous entries, so now you can filter by more than just the series! idk why I didn't do that from the beginning- I guess I'd been doing it this way for so long that I didn't think to? WHATEVER.

Let's give a belated happy birthday to killiansicons ♥ btw- last month marked 21 years of me making icons. Here's to many more!!!!

Anyway, I'll more icons coming soon; I've been having fun with challenge communities + continuing to be inspired by enstars, so tune back in soon!!! :D
